 Join our efforts!

 Volunteering for Oakland is a community-based volunteer group.  As ordinary citizens of Oakland and the East Bay, and members of VFO, we pride ourselves on the work we’ve done in the past.  Our actions are the result of ideas from the volunteers who participate.  Volunteer to be part of our planning process, participate in specific events, or simply sign up to receive our newsletter so you see what future actions are planned.  There are lots of ways you can participate.  Be as active as you wish.

Our Affiliate Groups are involved in the following areas:

Education : Volunteer Fair, School Supply Drive, Book Collection Drive
The environment: addressing global warming and sustainable living at the local level.
Mentoring: a new group formed to explore how we can help Oakland’s youth.
